Start into a new season in Brno under chief conductor Dennis Russell DAVIES

This week, a new season starts at Filharmonie Brno under the baton of artistic director and chief conductor Dennis Russell DAVIES – and the program is a mirror of the conductor’s elaborated ideas fort he orchestra: Brahms 1st Sympony is followed by Bartók’s 3rd Piano Concerto played by Elisabeth Leonskaja, who will be in Brno for a cycle of all Beethoven piano concertos later this year. At the end of the concert on 19 September 2019, „Da.Ma.Shi.E“ by Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi will be presented tot he audience.

We look forward to an inspiring season which will see the guests Peter Eötvös, Laurie Anderson, Michael Schønwandt and Ars Electronica in Brno, and in which the orchestra under D.R. Davies will play tour concerts in Vienna and Linz.
