Ivor Bolton returns to Salzburg Festival

English conductor Ivor Bolton will be returning to the Salzburg Festival for his 22nd consecutive summer. Alongside the yearly concerts he has meanwhile condcuted eight staged productions and four operas in concert performances. The upcoming Mozart Matinee programme comprises Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante for oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon and orchestra in E-flat major K. Anh. 9, arias to be performed by star-soprano Sabine Devieilhe as well as Symphony no. 38 in D major „Prague“ K. 504. Bolton is currently Music Director of the Teatro Real as well as Chief Conductor of Basel Sinfonieorchester.
