Jonathan Bloxham – Contract Extension at Theater Luzern

The Luzerner Theater has extended its contract with Music Director Jonathan Bloxham by three further seasons, keeping him at the helm of the house through summer 2029. The renewal reflects the sustained artistic bond between the British conductor and the institution.

Alongside his commitments in Lucerne, Jonathan Bloxham makes his debut at the Opernhaus Zürich in autumn 2026 with Die Fledermaus, and conducts Verdi's Luisa Miller at the Glyndebourne Festival as well as Rigoletto and Don Pasquale with the Glyndebourne Touring Opera. He also serves as Chief Conductor of the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie and Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the London Mozart Players.
