The KAP has extended François Leleux's contract as artistic director until 2030

With tremendous energy, musical expressiveness and great passion, conductor and oboist François Leleux gave his inaugural concert as artistic director of the Kammerakademie Potsdam (KAP) on 6 September. Now, shortly before his next performance with the KAP – together with violinist Lisa Batiashvili (30 November in Potsdam, 1 December in Berlin, 3 December in Ludwigshafen) – his contract has been extended ahead of schedule and unanimously until summer 2030. 

“We musicians agreed unanimously to extend François' contract. We are unanimous in our discussions about the programme selection, which are wonderfully intense, inspiring and challenging with François,” says Jan Böttcher, principal oboist of the KAP. "This is fortunate for us and our audience, who will experience new repertoire and familiar pieces in different colours with François and us."
