Kristiina POSKA wins German Conductors Prize 2013

Estonian conductor Kristiina POSKA wins the German Conductors Prize 2013 - many congratulations!
The jury headed by conductor Peter Gülke herewith rewarded Kristiina POSKA for her excellent interpretation of the orchestra suite from Leoš Janáčeks »The Cunning little Vixen«. The German Conductors Prize worth 15,000 EUR is awarded every two years. It is one of the most prestigious of its kind for young conductors.

Kristiina POSKA was born in Türi, Estonia and appointed Kapellmeisterin at Komische Oper Berlin starting with the 2012/13 season.

The Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden presented Bruckner´s Symphony no. 8 under the baton of it´s designated principal conductor Christian Thielemann (photo: Matthias Creutziger) on 7th September in Vienna. The artists enjoyed the ovations of the audience of this concert at the beginning of Musikverein´s anni- versary season. Another station of Staatskapelle´s tour was Lucerne where the orchestra performed also a second program containing compositions of Busoni, Pfitzner and Brahms.
