Marie JACQUOT conducts world premiere of "Die Vorübergehenden"

This year's Munich Opera Festival will see the return of Marie Jacquot to the podium of the Bavarian State Orchestra. On 13 July she will conduct the world premiere of "Die Vorübergehenden". Composition and libretto are by Nikolaus Brass, using texts by Tomas Tranströmer, Rose Ausländer and Mahmout Darwish.

In 2016 Marie Jacquot made her very successful debut as assistant to GMD Kirill Petrenko at the premiere of "South Pole" at the Bavarian State Opera. She was immediately invited to conduct her first own production, the festival project "Tonguecat". In March 2018 she also conducted a preliminary concert of the Bavarian State Orchestra to its New York guest performance.
