Dennis Russell DAVIES to Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra

Dennis Russell DAVIES is guest at Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra with two different programs in two cities:
First in a concert on 23 November 2018 in Yokohama / Minato Mirai hall, where he conducts Nielsen's "Maskarade"-overture, Sibelius' 1st Symphony and Elgar's Cello Concerto with soloist Harriet Krijgh.

On 28 November 2018, the orchestra under Davies' baton plays at Tokyo's Suntory Hall. On the program: Skorwaczewski's "Music at Night", Mozart's concerto for flute, harp and orchestra (with Emmanuel Pahud and Marie-Pierre Langlamet), as well as John Adams' "City Noir".

A fine residence for the Japan-afficionado, who adds another concert with the orchestra of the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Tokyo: On 2 December 2018, he conducts the university's orchestra in a program of Wagner, Bernstein and Hindemith's symphony "Matthias the Painter".
