Alexander Malofeev Joins Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm for General Management

Described by Der Standard as “a world piano revolution” and hailed by Corriere della Sera as a “Russian genius,” Alexander Malofeev has become one of the most captivating pianists of his generation. Renowned for his phenomenal technique, expressive depth, and poetic imagination, he has already performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors.
Born in Moscow in 2001, Malofeev studied at the Gnessin Special School and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. At just thirteen, he won first prize at the junior edition of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, marking the beginning of an international career that has taken him to major concert halls across Europe, Asia, and North America. Now based in Berlin, he continues to shape his artistic path with a distinctive blend of intensity and introspection.
His debut album Forgotten Melodies will be released in February 2026 by Sony Classical. The recording brings together works by Glazunov, Glinka, Rachmaninoff, and Medtner—composers who share a deep sense of nostalgia and connection to their Russian heritage. As Malofeev explains, “They all share a similar feeling of nostalgia... almost a dream world—and you can find it everywhere on this album.”

Highlights of the 2025/26 season include solo recitals in Amsterdam, Vienna, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Tokyo, and across the United States. He will perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, hr-Sinfonieorchester, and WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, and continues his collaboration with violinist Maria Dueñas with recitals in Austria, Italy, and Spain.
With his intensity, lyricism, and fearless individuality, Alexander Malofeev stands as one of the most compelling voices of the new generation of pianists.
