Giedrė Šlekytė at the Pazaislio Muzikos Festivalis

 

The young Lithuanian conductor Giedrė Šlekytė will take the podium of the Lithuanian National Orchestra on 20 August 2022 as part of the  Pažaislis Music Festival. Programmatically, contemporary works by composer Raminta Šerkšnytė (Midsummer Song) and Arvo Pärt (Lamentate for piano and orchestra) will be framed by revolutionary works by Maurice Ravel (La Valse) and Richard Strauss (Suite aus Der Rosenkavallier). The pianist Onutė Gražinytė performs the highly demanding piano part.
