Ivor Bolton conducts premiere of “Orlando” at Teatro Reál

Ivor Bolton conducts the premiere of Georg Friedrich Händel's "Orlando" tonight at the Teatro Reál in Madrid. Claus Guth's powerful production places the baroque opera in a contemporary context, allowing for reflection on figures of war and heroism. The main roles are performed by Christophe Damaux, Anna Prohaska and Anthony Roth Costanzo.
