Marie Jacquot makes her festival debut at the Bregenz Festival

Marie Jacquot, designated conductor of the Royal Opera in Copenhagen, will make her Bregenz Festival debut in an orchestral concert with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra on 8th August.

Dmtri Shostkovich's 1st Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra will be framed by two highly virtuosic pieces of the fading Romantic period, the Fantasy Overture to "Romeo and Juliet" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and "Scheherezade" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

The celebrated conductor will be back with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra next year for a concert at the Vienna Musikverein.
