We are very pleased to see Vitali Alekseenok, as the new deputy GMD, on the podium at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf / Duisburg for a revival of "The Magic Flute" on Aug. 20 at the Düsseldorf Opera House. During the season, he will also conduct the world premiere of Manfred Trojahn's "Septembersonate," the new production of "Eugene Onegin" and the world premiere of "Surrogate Cities," among others. In addition, there will be performances with a broad repertoire ranging from Mozart and Humperdinck to Tchaikovsky and Puccini.
The current acting GMD Axel Kober will conduct the premiere of "Parsifal" on September 17, alongside "Der Rosenkavalier," "Jenufa" and "Der Fliegende Holländer."
