Vitali Alekseenok as finalist of the Young Conductors Award at the Salzburg Festival

As a finalist of the Herbert von Karajan Young Conductors Award, Vitali Alekseenok will make his debut at the Salzburg Festival. With a differentiated program ranging from Mozart to Beethoven to contemporary works by Podgaiskaya and Silvestrov, he will be conducting the Camerata Salzburg on Saturday (August 5), in front of a jury chaired by Manfred Honeck and composed of leading figures of the field.

Previous winners of the YCA include Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and Aziz Shokhakimov.
