Following a widely acclaimed series of Madama Butterfly performances at the Semperoper Dresden, Vitali Alekseenok makes his next debut on 7 February 2026 with the Orchestre National Montpellier Occitanie. The programme, titled Exils, places composers who were forced to live and work in exile at its centre — among them Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Pablo Casals, Olga Podgaiskaya and Samir Odeh-Tamimi. Rather than treating exile as a historical footnote, the concert frames it as a living artistic reality — one that continues to shape musical voices and perspectives today.
