After having built the new Ring des Nibelungen at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duisburg with both orchestras and different casts during the past two years (director: Dietrich W. Hilsdorf), Axel Kober is conducting a full cycle at Opernhaus Düsseldorf at the end of the season.
As the year started with a terrific Ring at Vienna's State Opera ("Conductor Axel Kober is the most important discovery for Viennese Wagnarians")and was continued with a musically outstanding Ring in Duisburg (due to the Duisburg Theater's water damage given in a concert version), this is the third complete Ring-cycle Axel Kober is conducting within six months.
