For years, Axel Kober has been a much appreciated guest at State Opera Hamburg. Now, he conducts the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s only cheerful opera, directed by Calixto Bieito. Falstaff is given by Ambrogio Maestri, further roles are sung by Markus Brück, Olelsiy Palchykov, Maija Kovalevska, Elbenita Kajtazi, Nadezhda Karyazina and Ida Aldrian. To be heard on 19, 22, 25, 28 Jan., on 4 and 8 Feb., as well as on 25 and 28 März 2020.
