Two of our conductors frame Berlin’s Ultraschall-Festival this year: Johannes Kalitzke conducted the opening concert on 18 January 2017, which saw the world premiere of Kalitzke's own piece story teller for cello and orchestra with soloist Johannes Moser, as well as works by Erhard Grosskopf and Mauricio Kagel, the orchestra was Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin.
And Dennis Russell Davies will conduct the final concert of the festival on 22 January 2017 – as well with Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, this time playing works by Heinz Winbeck and Philipp Maintz.
