Joseph Bastian receives Eugen Jochum Preis 2019

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, the Eugen Jochum Prize 2019 will be awarded to the young French conductor Joseph Bastian as part of the 6th Chamber Concert of the Bavarian Radio in the Munich Max-Joseph-Saal by Veronica Jochum von Moltke.

Joseph Bastian receives the award in recognition of his artistic career, which first began with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra founded by Eugen Jochum in 1949.
In the meantime he is at the podium of many well-known orchestras. In addition, his interest in historical performance practice is acknowledged. The award ceremony will take place after the concert's break, before Joseph Bastian will conduct the piece Le marteau sans maître by Pierre Boulez.
