Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla on tour with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra

The British "City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra" is once again on tour in Europe under its long-time principal conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, starting May 14th, 2022, and touring Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

The focus will be on Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, Edward Elgar's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, Johannes Brahms' 3rd Symphony and Anton Bruckner's 6th Symphony, key highlights of the fading Romantic period.

Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero will be the soloist in the piano concerto the French world star Gautier Capuçon will interpret Elgar's late solo work in Prague.
